What is the course about?
The American Management Seminars (AMS) are student-run and have an interdisciplinary
approach to develop problem solving abilities, creativity, and soft skills,
sometimes using unusual but interesting techniques.
In the case.study.course you get the chance to solve business case studies
from the Harvard Business Review, creativity cases and cases from official
competitions. These cases deal with different types of management problems
and require great combined efforts. These demands foster your management
skills and your ability to work in a team while facing a highly competitive
situation and intense time pressure.
The course is supported by Prof Dr Thonemann. In addition, one session
will by held by our corporate partner McKinsey&Company, who also
chaired our final tournament last semester.
Do you fit in?
If you are a both talented and motivated person, if you are open to new ideas and willing to meet interesting people, then you are definitely right in this course. We explicitly welcome students from all faculties, not only business students. Much more important than your marks or your skills in English is your motivation to broaden your horizon! You will get in touch with an interesting network and fascinating challenges.
